SAMUEL BLAIR, son of
Rufus and Dolly (Boies) Blair, was born in Blandford, September 11, 1781. As eldest son after the death of his father, he carried on the affairs of the estate and farm, but later ran a store until 1811, when he removed to Columbus, Chenango County, New York. Two or three years later he removed to Homer, Cortland County, New York, but subsequently settled in the nearby town of Cortland, in the same county. He died there, May 21, 1862.
